New York Public Library is facing the harshest public funding cuts ever proposed, to the tune of $37 million for the new fiscal year.
Libraries build communities by bringing people together to fight on behalf of continued support. The thousands of people working to save the New York Public Library illustrate this process.

Improv Everywhere aims to “cause scenes of joy in public places.” We want people to remember that the Library is a place of joy, and community, and discovering the unexpected — all the great positive things you see in the video.
