PlaceMatters and Capacity Building

This showcase project made use of art and kids in Philadelphia to help connect participants to the very real and urgent need to plan a city worthy of it's children. PlaceMatters believes in informed, effective, and equitable citizen engagement. We work to ensure that communities and organizations design and implement processes that garner broad public involvement and support, educate participants, and lead to sustainable, livable communities.
PlaceMatters provides consultation services for communities and organizations seeking to improve their public participation and decision-making. We also focus on capacity building within each of our projects, to ensure that our partners are able to maintain high quality civic engagement and decision-making on a daily basis. PlaceMatters provides trainings, workshops, and direct consultation.
