A Strong Future for Public Library Use and Employment

It may seem like a strange time (2011) to publish a book on A Strong Future for Public Library Use and Employment. However, prior to the current recession (2008 and beyond) there had been abundant evidence showing strong positive trends in public library growth, visits, services, operations, and employment with little downside. Furthermore, the use and value of public library services are clearly established, as is a substantial taxpayer return on investment in public libraries.
