Twenty-five Georgia public libraries have received 2011 Grassroots Invitational Grant Awards from the Georgia Council for the Arts (GCA). According to GCA Director Karen L. Paty, the intent of the Grassroots Invitational Grant was to support arts programming and services in every county in the state. “Funded projects created opportunities for communitywide access to the arts, targeted underserved populations and contributed to activities with a positive impact on community development,” Paty said.
